A TOILET ROLL HOLDER, PART OF A SERIES OF BATHROOM ACCESSORIES.

LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO THE TRADITIONAL ALL-METAL ACCESSORIES, AND INSPIRED BY SAILING EQUIPMENT, DIABOLO CHANGES THE WAY WE INTERACT WITH THE PRODUCT. THE FLEXIBILITY OF THE ROPE ALLOWS FOR MULTIPLE COMBINATIONS AND CUSTOMISING OF THE LENGTH DEPENDING ON THE SPACE.

This product houses the standard orchid pot, and delicately holds the stalk in place from the outside, eliminating the current black stick and hair clip system and leaving the flower as the main focus, thus marking a clear division between man-made and natural. The support system is fully adjustable in order to allow the perfect positioning.

To mark the beginning of the new interior design course at the Royal College of Art, head of department, Ab Rogers has asked several designers to create a box with specific constraints to express their personal relationship with interior design. This very subjective starting point was combined with strict dimensional constraints of 20x20x20cm and a maximum weight of 2kg.

In respond to this brief, we have approached our box from a mathematic point of view.

We wanted to illustrate the idea that in interior design we sometimes try to maximize the surface, without increasing the volume, which is often restricted.

The given surface of the box is 2,400sqcm, and the volume is 8,000 cubic centimetres. Within this space, we tried to find a way to maximise the surface area, while keeping the proportions and aesthetic of the object within our personally defined parameters.

The total surface area of our faceted pieces is approx.6,200sqcm, and the total volume of solid material is approx.700 cubic centimetres, which is more than a 10 times decrease of the volume, and almost 3 times increase of the surface area.

In other words, the ratio of surface to volume in the starting cube is 2400/8000= 0.3 whereas the resulting object is 6200/700= 8.8 which is an increase of nearly 30 times.

Tag Heuer Eyewear and the Groupe Logo have commissioned us to re-design their current eyewear display.

We have worked on a range of display elements to suit any shop environment worldwide from a single frame display to a shop-in-shop display tower.

This single frame display is a part of the system, and is made of two pieces of folded aluminium, which are clipped together after shipping. The very light weight and sharp lines reflects the avant-garde style and the engineered precision that is paramount to all Tag Heuer products.

This layered shaving brush is a one-off piece made by hand in a combination of laser cutting and hand machining.

The handle contains magnetic inserts which simply attach to the minimal steel rod stand. This ensures the bristles can be air dried facing down, which improves their longevity.

THIS CANDLE HOLDER COMES WITH A LID THAT CAN BE STORED ON THE SIDE SLOT WHEN THE LIGHT IS LIT.

This wooden toy comprises five pieces of 3mm ply, printed on both sides, that can be combined in pairs to create a number of different animals.

The animal family can be kept from escaping with the rubber band.

Our first collaboration with swiss manufacturer Tag Heuer has been comercially released. The reversible belt series include "godron reversible" "screws reversible" and "rectangular reversible".

I ALWAYS CARRY A FEW PENS AND MARKERS TO WRITE AND DRAW. OFTEN THEY END UP LOOSE ON THE BOTTOM OF MY BAG, AND I WISH I COULD KEEP THEM TOGETHER WITHOUT CARRYING A BULKY PENCIL CASE.

THIS IS OUR INTERPRETATION OF THE MOST MINIMAL PENCIL CASE, IN WHICH A PEN HAS A RUBBER BAND THAT CAN BE USED TO HOLD OTHER ITEMS.
